What a scrumptious piece of paradise, we loved it! Only wish we had stayed longer. Converted to outdoor showers completely, and will be spruiking your name to all our east coast friends! So nice to be able to stay and support like minded, green ethical people.

What a magical place! We came here to relax and we had the perfect setting to do so. Mark has fallen in love with the shower and wants one at home now! For me, I think I will take the bed! We will definitely be back.

Coming to WA, especially Freo was always a little bit of a dream for me since I was a kid. And I dragged my beautiful girl here with me for this Christmas to see this beautiful place and we were truly blessed to find such a place as the Painted Fish to become totally relaxed. It goes without saying that we shan’t forget the place soon, or your generosity in giving us bicycles and hats for our glorious run over to Rotto. Even though our backsides don’t thank you much . . . . ouch! We leave today for the continuation of our WA holiday, but I’m pretty sure we we’ll make it back some day to Freo and South Beach.

Hope to come again someday . . . the ease of The Painted Fish it’s perfect site near the beach, why go further – all I could wish for was here! A very peaceful and revitalising stay. Best wishes for your vision – it suits me perfectly.

Great relaxing place outside of the hub bub of Freo. The Painted Fish has a great vibe and we have enjoyed staying here. Our conversations on WA and the way of the world added to our stay. Its always good to chat with the locals and get their take on things. You made us feel welcome and what more could you ask for?

What a great place to escape and spend my last two nights in WA. I shall certainly tell friends visiting these parts about it. I wish I could relax, lounge in the great bed and the outdoor shower – I really would like to return. The frogs were no problem – key song in June and the bike ride made the longish haul from central Freo much better, so thanks for that. You have a great place here – many thanks!

Late at night we were in a pickle for a place to stay after two beautiful weeks of camping at Kalbarri and Margaret River. . . . and the stars shone on us. We found The Painted Fish – a beautiful surprise in the middle of a city, camping in the treetops with the birds and frogs. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Love the garden and peaceful, beautiful surrounds. Had a nice dance in the kitchen and much relaxing swims in the tub . . . miss Freo already!

What a delightful surprise to arrive at the Painted Fish. We expected laid back so imagine how pleased we were to have an outdoor shower, frogs and comfy sofas to relax on too. Something really quite different and we loved it.
